GO Bike will bring the bicycle world to you – see below for more details.

Michelin Boosts Signage
Michelin has an iconic involvement with the Tour de France and was born out of cycling. We are delighted that they are on the ride with us this year.
As part of our commitment to improve the route and overall safety of the ride, Michelin will be helping us provide 25km milestone markers and other event related signage. Michelin will also be providing mechanical support at the four main rest areas (Frankston, Sorrento, Queenscliff and Geelong) and at the start / finish area at Alexandra Gardens.
Make Training Part of Your Day
Michael Alder, Senior Design Draftsman at Arup, a global consulting firm, has discovered a convenient way to incorporate regular training into his busy work-life schedule. Michael, who lives in Forest Hill and commutes daily to the city, covers 200-280 km per week and he doesn't have to wait until the weekend to get training. "I often don't get a chance on the weekend. There are always so many other things to fit in." Michael heads up Arup's 40-strong Around the Bay in a Day team and is looking forward to encouraging colleagues around the country to join him on National Ride to Work Day on 17 October this year.
All Under One Roof
This year as part of the celebrations happening at Alexandra Gardens, Bicycle Victoria is hosting the GO Bike Expo which aims to capture as many aspects of the “cycling world” as possible from racing, recreation, health, transport, clubs, tours, equipment/products and the environment. Make sure you set aside some time during the weekend to see what there is on offer. It is open to the public from 10am to 5pm on 20-21 October and entry is free. Tell your friends and family.
Learn the Moves
Because this event is growing, it is important to lift the standard of bunch riding.
If you are just starting out or you are a little bit rusty, riding in a big bunch of riders can be both exhilarating and a little daunting.
We have teamed up with TriFitness to bring you bunch riding training clinics. The clinics cost $10 per person and last for around 75 minutes. They are a great way to meet some fellow Around the Bay in a Day riders and have fun while improving your skills. For details, go to the TriFitness website.
