Early Incentive - Free Event Jersey

The designers are currently working hard on producing the unique Around the Bay in a Day® Event Jersey, to be revealed on Monday 7 April.

This highly sought after jersey is being supplied by SCODY and is FREE to all participants that register in the 80km (School Challenge), 100km, 210km and 250km ride options.

The early incentive offer closes on Monday 23 June 2008

All entries in the 50km ride will receive a Free Event T-shirt.

80km School Challenge

Celebrate the team spirit of the 2008 Around the Bay in a Day® by being part of the 80km School Challenge! Students* that register in this ride have the chance to create history with their school being awarded a Perpetual Trophy to proudly display in recognition of outstanding participation.

Major prizes will be awarded to the School with the largest percentage** of registered participants.

Two categories have been introduced as part of this prize. We will reward both:

  • Big schools - more than 400 students; and
  • Small schools - less than 400 students.

*Students must be 12 years and/or over on the day of the ride

**Where the percentage of participation results are tied, the school with the largest number of participants will be declared the winner

The course

At the Alexandra Gardens in Melbourne, the route will go out along the famous Beach Road. School riders will then turn around at Patterson River and return along the same route back to Alexandra Gardens.
